1. Business Identification & Scope

Rockett Genealogy ("we", "our", "us") is an independent genealogical research service operating as a registered Sole Trader under the laws of the Republic of Ireland, complying with Revenue.ie taxation standards and Irish/EU consumer protection legislation.

By purchasing any research package or engaging our services, you ("client", "you") agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Nature of Historical & Genealogical Research

Genealogical research is an empirical historical investigation. All research conducted by Rockett Genealogy adheres strictly to the Genealogical Proof Standard (GPS), which requires reasonably exhaustive search, complete source citations, correlation of evidence, resolution of conflicting evidence, and a written conclusion.

Historical records are subject to preservation realities (including the 1922 Public Record Office fire in Dublin and surviving date bounds of parish microfilms). While we guarantee diligent, exhaustive archival examination, we cannot manufacture records that were never created or did not survive. Conclusively disproving a suspected ancestor or ruling out conflicting candidates is a positive and essential genealogical outcome.

3. Service Packages & Delivery Timelines

• Tree Tune-Up ($49): Delivered electronically within 2 business hours of receiving access or GEDCOM file. Includes invariant health audit and clean GEDCOM file.
• 48-Hour Brick Wall Breaker ($199): Delivered within 48 business hours. Includes full 10–15 page GPS Persona Dossier, high-resolution original scans, candidate rule-out matrix, and email consultation.
• Irish Citizenship Pathway ($499): Delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Includes official General Register Office (GRO) citations, Catholic parish entries, and Foreign Births Registration (FBR) document packet.

Timelines begin once necessary information (ancestor details and tree access) has been provided by the client. Delays caused by third-party repository maintenance or public holidays will be communicated immediately.

• The client provides details for a direct grandparent believed to have been born on the island of Ireland.

Rockett Genealogy operates a strict Zero-Password Protocol. Clients must never share passwords, PINs, or two-factor authentication codes. Tree access must be granted exclusively via read-only "Guest" or "Viewer" invitations inside Ancestry.com, or through standard exported GEDCOM files. We bear no liability for any unauthorized credential sharing.

6. Intellectual Property & Deliverables

Upon full payment, all custom written reports, dossiers, and cleaned GEDCOM files are licensed to the client for personal, genealogical, and family use. Historical primary source scans are public domain archival records. Clients may share, print, and distribute their family reports freely among relatives.

7. Privacy & Living Relatives

All research and client correspondence are governed by our Privacy Policy. In compliance with European GDPR standards, living persons identified during research are protected and redacted in public deliverables unless explicit consent is provided.
